The modern day company of Sir William Leighton draws its recruits from the Nottingham/Newark/Grantham/Mansfield area. By keeping this area fairly compact we can easily pull together the company for small events and social evenings.

The key to our growth and success lies in the broad age range of our members. From 12 to 70 we feel anyone can come along and enjoy our reenactment events and especially our social gatherings.

Our principle arms consist of Pike and Musket backed up by our Drummers, Ensigns and Camp Followers. Our Artillery arm is provided by Lucas's or Radley's company with whom we work together closely on many events.

Our aims are to accurately recreate the 17th Century around the period of the English Civil War, this we do through events or even school visits.
